Marie Hartung

Marie Hartung wears many hats! She has over 20 years of HR experience in large companies such as Microsoft and Eddie Bauer as well as many small and micro companies.  She brings expertise in coaching, management training, employee relations, benefits administration, program management and more. She is a rabid supporter of diversity, equity and inclusion and spent many years designing and administering diversity programs for Microsoft as well as speaking on the national stage at Out and Equal. She also is a licensed real estate agent and specializes in listing residential property in Snohomish county.  Additionally, in her spare time she is a freelance blog writer for multiple companies and has additionally published many poems and essays in journals and anthologies.  Marie helps provide safe haven to local LGBTQ youth and adores being a parent to her young adult sons and a formerly homeless youth who she considers her own. She hopes to run her own bookstore someday in between gardening, camping, and traveling with her husband. She has been an avid fan of Folio since its beginnings and is excited to help Folio’s continued mission.
