Folio is a member-supported nonprofit organization. Become a member or renew your membership to support critical civic and cultural conversations and accessible workspaces for the Seattle community. All annual members receive the membership benefits listed below.

A curated borrowing library of fine books and rare first editions.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

  • Annual Individual Memberships valued at $150 or $12.5/month

  • Annual Family Membership valued at $240 or $20/month.

  • Students of all ages and individuals under 30 are eligible for our Student Memberships valued at $75. 

  • Patron, Benefactors, Bibliophiles and Collector annual memberships valued at $500 and above.

RECIPROCAL PRIVILEGES

Reciprocal privileges at Membership Libraries and other Athenaeums are available to Patron Members, Benefactors, Bibliophiles and Collectors. Members listed receive a complimentary Family Membership, with all the membership benefits listed above.

WORK PASSES

Daily ($10), weekly($25) or monthly($100) access to Folio work spaces.

Recommended for visiting writers, journalists, remote workers or anyone looking for a temporary quiet place. Passes include:

Does Folio offer a monthly membership?

All folio memberships are annual. Members paying by credit card have the option to choose between monthly & annual billing.

Is my membership tax-deductible?

Folio is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, members support in the form of annual fees accounts for 20% of our annual operating funds. Membership fees up to $150 are not tax-deductible, owing to the services members will receive. Any amount above $150 is tax-deductible. 

Does Folio offer sliding scale membership options?

We are committed to keeping Folio open and accessible to all. We offer a $75 Annual Membership for Students and individuals under 30. If that's not you, contact tess@Folioseattle.org for sliding-scale options.

Is my annual membership fee tax deductible

For tax purposes, please understand that the basic membership fee of $150 is not tax-deductible, owing to the services you will receive, but any amount above that is tax-deductible.
