NaNoWriMo Write-Ins at Folio

National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel in thirty days. Now, each year on November 1, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write, determined to end the month with 50,000 words of a brand new novel. They enter the month as elementary school teachers, mechanics, or stay-at-home parents. They leave novelists.

On Saturday afternoons in November, Folio will host virtual write-ins for writers participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Write-ins will be run by Folio member Sophia Bisignano-Vadino! These write-ins are hosted on Zoom, If you would like to join us, but don’t feel comfortable having your camera or microphone on, that is completely okay; feel free to talk using the chat feature if that makes you more comfortable.​

Sophia will run the writer-in in 15 minute sprints, but you don't have to join in if you'd rather just come for some company. Witers are welcome to come late, leave early, and stay as long as they prefer.
