Member Launch Party: The London Plane Flower & Cook Book

Folio: The Seattle Athenaeum is thrilled to celebrate the launch of The London Plane Flower & Cook Book by Katherine Anderson.

Restaurant, bakery, flower, and gift shop––The London Plane was a unique community  hub. From 2013 to 2022, it anchored a corner in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square. This  book pays tribute to its heart and soul, through collaboration with the chefs and creatives  who were a part of it. Aiming to celebrate the community of cooks, bakers, florists, servers,  and customers through recipes, essays, and memories. It is also a candid lens into the life  of owning and operating a restaurant, the hardship and love that comes with it. 

Katherine Anderson was a founder, co-owner, and the floral and creative director of The  London Plane. She also owns and operates Marigold and Mint, a small organic flower farm  in the Snoqualmie Valley. Before The London Plane, Katherine had a flower…
