About the Event

Navigate the terrain of identity, displacement, cultural tension, family bonds, and the fierce demands of love in this creative writing workshop led by Emer Martin.

Through guided prompts and focused exercises, you will craft narratives and or poems alive with sensory detail, charged dialogue, and the quiet power of subtext. Whether you prefer to draw from lived experience or want to breathe new life into your current work, you’ll be invited to dig deep, explore beyond your own borders and follow your characters into uncharted territory.

We will move fluidly between moments of reflection, bursts of generative writing, and optional sharing in a supportive circle. By the journey’s end, you’ll leave with a sharper sense of how personal and cultural histories shape all writing, and some new pages!

Emer Martin is a California based Irish writer, artist, filmmaker and educator who spent formative years in Paris, London, the Middle East…
