The Clinton Years : The Photographs of Robert McNeely New York : Callaway, 2000.
Robert McNeely was President Bill Clinton’s official photographer from 1992 to 1998 and had unfettered access to the political and private lives of President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. McNeely shot 20,000 roles of film during this time and from that massive output 200+ images made the cut for this tribute. The result is an intimate, visual journey through the Clinton presidency.
One image, of Clinton touching the Dalai Lama’s hand while listening to him speak during a meeting, lead to the Chinese government seizing half the 18,000 copy print run!
