Founded in Chicago in 1910 The Delphian Society was a national organization dedicated to the education of woman.

The name is derived from the ancient Greek priestess Pythia of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi who also served as the Oracle of Delphi. The name Pythia is derived from Pytho, which in myth was the original name of Delphi.

The Delphian Society got their impetus from then President of Harvard University Charles William Eliot who believed that education serves the purpose of inspiring lifelong learning and those who do not receive it "seem to live in a mental vacuum."

Probably best known for their Course of Reading series published in 1913 they also published

a 9 volume set Orientation for Modern Times in 1936-7. The set is comprised of three parts:

Basic Trends; Creative Thinkers and Understanding Modern Art. In addition to the top-tier content the books feature some pretty nifty typography and page design.

An artist who goes by the moniker Happy Toast has created a brilliant pop-version of Michael Woolf's blockbuster new book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House. He created the book using 3DS Max modeling software then shared it via Twitter, one page at a time.

I hope there is a paper engineer out there ready to turn this gem into something we can hold.
